About Me

My photo
I LOVE to design and to paint whimsical items that will put a smile on your face. Each day I share my simple life with you as I try to encourage, to inspire and sometimes JUST to make you smile as I recount my life growing up on a dairy farm! I've never had many material items in my life, BUT I have been blessed beyond words with love and encouragement from WONDERFUL Parents who instilled in me WHAT was important. I have had EVERYTHING that I needed and WAY too much of what I wanted. I am slowly learning to be a better person each day through my interactions with my friends on Facebook. Some day I hope to be as good as people seem to THINK I am! I am BLESSED! Welcome to my little corner of the world...Please stop by and visit often!

Happy St. Patrick's Day, Monday, March 17, 2014

Happy Saint Patrick's Day to YOU...

I have to admit, this day has NEVER had ONE BIT of meaning to me...I was raised in Middle Tennessee and to my knowledge, I never knew anyone of DIRECT Irish Decent, NOR did I know ANYONE who was Catholic, SO it was NOT a BIG Holiday in my area...THE MOST FUN I had was looking for SOMEONE to PINCH because they were NOT wearing GREEN, and believe me, IF you were WEARING GREEN underwear, THEN I had BETTER BE ABLE TO SEE IT, or YOU were getting PINCHED!!

I love so many of the Irish Blessings that I have heard...

 A friend shared a funny with me the other day that said SINCE we PRETEND to be NICE at Christmas, then it is FINE to pretend to be IRISH on St. Patty's DAY... teeheeee...

I would like to leave you today with the Tradition Gaelic Blessing

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

I wish you the HAPPIEST of HAPPY St. Patty's Day...
...Blessings to YOU...~charlotte♥

  1. Same type of celebrating here...nothing. =) I do remember one year, when i was in grade school, Mom & Dad were out of town for some reason & i was staying with my grandparents on St. Patrick's Day. Well, no on had planned on the green for my wardrobe that day. I remember that i was extremely upset, because everyone would pinch me! Well, Grandma to the rescue. She took a pair of her green clip on earrings & clipped them on my shirt. Whew! That was a close one! But she saved the day for me. =)

  2. I TELL you, the PINCHING was the HIGHLIGHT of the year, BUT the truth be know, I did NOT pinch anyone very hard BECAUSE I had a MEAN brother and I UNDERSTOOD PAYBACKS at a VERY YOUNG AGE!! BWAH...
